The Simple Formula

1. Find your Birth Nakshatra (Star #1 to #27).

2. Find the Daily Nakshatra for the date you are checking.

3. Count from your Birth Nakshatra to the Daily Nakshatra (count your birth star as 1).

4. If your total count is greater than 9, divide it by 9 and look at the remainder. (If the remainder is 0, treat it as 9).

For Couples: If an event involves two people (like a couple getting married), calculate this separately for both. The date must yield a 2, 4, 6, 8, or 9 for both individuals.

1. Boy's Tara Balam (Jyeshtha to Purva Bhadrapada)

Calculation:

Count = (25 - 18) + 1 = 8

2. Girl's Tara Balam (Chitra to Purva Bhadrapada)

Because Tara Balam must be favorable for both individuals during a joint ritual, ceremony, or key event, this day is not ideal. While the day is supportive for Boy, it falls under Vipat Tara for Girl, which creates an imbalance. It is recommended to choose a different day where both remainder values land on 2, 4, 6, 8, or 9.  

2. How to Calculate Chandra Balam (Moon Strength)

Chandra Balam measures how comfortable your emotional state and mind will be on a specific day based on your Moon Sign (Janma Rashi).

Count from your birth Moon sign to where the Moon is sitting on that day:

Even if the day is great, picking the wrong 2-hour window can ruin the event. Here is how to ensure your chosen hour is strong:

Step 1: Pick a Good Ascendant Sign

Avoid Scorpio and Aquarius Lagnas for auspicious Muhurthas unless specifically required for secret or destructive actions.

Choose a sign ruled by a peaceful, positive planet:
